Valour, Loss & Sacrifice

Valour, Loss and Sacrifice will be The Historic Dockyard’s major exhibition on the dockyard’s contribution to the First World War in 2014.  This exhibition will give an insight into life on board Chatham Port Division Ships, the actions they took part in, as well as the work that went into supporting the Royal Navy at the dockyard.

The exhibition will draw on the Trust’s rich First World War collection, much of which has never been on public display before.  Stories of heroism and loss will be explored using these objects to illustrate what men and women went through during “the war to end all wars”.

The exhibition will open on the 26 July 2014 and will run until the 30 November 2014.  For more information please visit our website
